May 16th - DIOS BENDIGA

Hows everyone doing??  Alright so this week was super cool with a lot of cool stories. I decided to start writing it down in my agenda when something cool happens...that way I won't forget and be scrambling to write  something every p-day. But this week was super good. Well the thing is that me and my comp don't have changes this change.  We are staying in Puerto for another change...which is kinda what we both wanted. When we found out that we don't have changes we both screamed in the house of laughter...because we are guaranteed another transfer to work here. There is still a lot of work to do here. A lot of people that need to get in that water before I peace out for good.... jajaja!!

We got a new zone leader too...his name is Elder D and he was in my zone when I was in Cuscatlan. He was a DL with me so we already have a good connection and already planned a lot of interchanges that we are gonna do.

This change is gonna be pretty balling.  Heres a funny story for ya...(this actually happened 2 weeks ago but i forgot to write it in my letter.)  Elder McFarland who is in my district....bought a pizza with all pennies!!  The pizza cost about 15 dollars and if you think about it...thats about 1500 pennies! The pizza guy accepted it and they took a  selfie with him.  The pizza guy said...its already happened to him before. (only in El Salvador)

Also, I went on interchanges with Elder Sweat in my area...that was super fun. We did some serious contacting on the beaches...we actually found a white girl who is a member from Utah...who lives here.  I really don't know why??  We invited her to church but she told us she's too "hipster for that"...jajaja, my gosh!  Me and Sweat also visited K and R (sisters) one of our investigators...they both accepted our invitation to baptism for the 28 of May.  We hope the best there.

Then the next day we and Chinchilla went to a church activity for Mother's Day,  a lot of members came and had a good time...a lot of nonmembers came as well.  Me and Chinchilla played basketball against the 2nd counselor and the secretary of the ward...it was way fun to play again. The 2nd counselor and the Secretary are return missionaries that are 24 years old.  They are super fun who like to come and teach with us. They are basically the reason the branch stays in place.

Well yesterday E. received the Aaronic Priesthood.  He was pretty stoked about that...you can see the progress in him. He's a future missionary!! He came to teach with us and bares a powerful testimony!! We visited like 5 less active members with him and he told us he loves teaching. He told me, "Elder Gee, I wish I could leave on a mission right now...but I have to wait a year to go...and you and Chinchilla wont be here when I receive my call."  I told him you can write me and tell me all about it...he told me he's going on his mission to Utah...and Mom is gonna feed him so much food! He loves me and my comp. H e doesn't like the idea of changes.  He knows we won't be here forever and he hates talking about changes.  Its gonna be really hard to say goodbye to him...he's my hero!! He is one of the reasons the work is fun...he makes me and my comp strong. He truly is a blessing in my life.  I am so grateful I met him when I did.  I know me and him were homies in Heaven before this life.

I am so grateful to be a missionary and to be able to suit up for my Savior and be an example to others.  IT'S HONESTLY THE BEST FEELING EVER!!  Nothing quite like it. se que estes cosas son verdereras. se que podemos vivir en la presencia de dios eternamente...con nuestra familias. les amo ustedes...sea feliz!!!  I love you guys so much...when i saw you guys in my Skype I was so happy and haven't laughed that hard in so long.  I miss you guys so much some days are so much harder then others.  I know Im here for a reason and I'm on the Lord's time.  I know that I couldn't understand such happiness if I didn't leave. I  know Im growing so much spiritually(definitelynot physically) I gotta do more pushups!!

Well I love you guys with all my heart and have a great week and always choose to be happy!!

May 9th - GOZO PURO

This week was super good!! My birthday was way fun. Our cook made us hamburgers and a cake as well. (I have pictures at the bottom)  I had a couple of members send me txts saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELDER!! SO that was super cool to see. Also we had a breakfast, President and sister Hintze is so that was so cool...we had pancakes and eggs...SO GOOD!! (we don't eat pancakes here...so all the gringos were excited).

Well, this week of teaching wasn't much, but it was super cool.  A lot of cool spiritual experiences. We baptized Hermano E. and confirmed him. Its awesome to see him progress and grow...he's a freakin stud!!  Every time we teach him he has a ton of questions about the gospel and he responds and says...thats so cool!!  He wants to serve a mission in a year...so we are preparing him!! Right now we are teaching is his little brother who is 11 and is gonna get baptized this Saturday, we hope!!
Also, we are teaching E's girlfriend as well...she loves us and will be baptized soon!! So there is future potential there.

The cool thing is that me and Elder C. lead the zone in baptismal dates...we have 11!!  We are a great team...I hope president doesn't take us out...that would really suck!! I REALLY LOVE HIM...we work so well.  He is so funny too...we always sing rock and roll in the streets like Def Leopard and Guns and Roses...its hilarious!!  We talked about it and he doesn't want to have transfers...he tells me I'm his favorite comp...because the others were kinda weird and not fun to be around.  But it's been such a fun and quick change!! Transfers are ever so near...and it will be interesting to see were I go and who will be my comp!!

Well I love you guys and hope the best in all you guys do...always put God in your lives.  He´s always number 1. Everything falls through him...and always be happy. Always exercise your faith....and the real blessings follow. NEVER GET DISCOURAGED!! President Hintze always told me, "When it gets hard and it will, always move your feet." He also joked with me saying, "Elder Gee,  if you love your wife in 20 years its because you baptized a lot of people!"  jajaja, its a joke but its true!!

MAY 2nd - My BirThDAy...20 YEARS YOUNG!

Wooooh!! Freakin 20 years old....I'm not gonna lie its weird to have your birthday in the mission. I don't feel any different.  Some times I still think I'm a super young kid in High School...and not a missionary that almost has a year...wow the time really flies!! It feels good though.

Today is a super good day. But this week was super good but crazy...we had some really good things...and some really bad things. One of those bad things was Elder Eggers companion Elder P. went back to home...because of his kidneys.  He went home, but should be back in a bout 6 to 8 weeks.  So Elder Eggers is with the zone leaders for now until they bring in a mini missionary!!  We talked about it and he said its super weird to say goodbye to your comp who is going home...but HE WILL RETURN!!

Also heres a funny story...so I went on splits with my zone leader Elder D. in my area...and that was super fun!! The funny part is it started to rain super hard...Elder Davis looks at me and says, "JUST KEEP ON WALKING GEE...WE ARE NOT GONNA STOP!" hahaha so that's what we did!!  We walked in the rain and we were soaked...so we bought an ice cream...and we continued to walk in the stormy rain eating ICE CREAM!!  All the people gave us the dirtiest looks...it was funny!!

We had a baptism this Saturday...E. got baptized...it was so cool!! My comp did and it was so sick!! After the baptism he told us...he feels amazing and is ready for this new step in his life...SOOO COOL!!  We also confirmed him yesterday...and next week he will receive the priesthood!!  He's got so much potential...he told us he wants to serve a mission soon...one year from yesterday!!  But the more and more I see why I'm a missionary...I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR THIS GOSPEL!!  It sometimes makes me think that before...i worried about the dumbest things in life...nothing is more important than this gospel.  Im so grateful for all the experiences I've had...I learned so much, so fast! I think I know now what they mean when they say its the best 2 years...to see the changes in peoples lives...honestly nothing better.  No better feeling in the whole world!!

Well I love you guys with all my heart and have a great week and always choose to be happy!!

April 25th - EVANGELIO

YO!!  What up yáll!! jajaja no for real this week was super cool!! A couple of pretty scary things happened to the zone this week!! One hermana in our zone fell in the baptism font because she was trying to drain it after her baptism...she broke her back and her disc is misplaced and she needs surgery today, so keep her in your prayers.

Also, one elder in my district might have to go home because his foot has a serious virus and its painful!!  So he might have to go home to get that fixed...he came to me crying with tears saying, "Elder Gee, I don't want to go home.  I feel like I've failed my family if I do.  I hugged him and told him as long as we are obedient and do all we can do, the Lord will bless us!!  I told him I promise all we be good and he cried even more!  It was pretty hard not to cry with him.  He's a really good missionary that works so hard...and a way good person!!

But other than that me and Elder C. have seen a lot of miracles!!  We are gonna have a baptism this Sunday!  Hermano E., he's so cool!! He's one of my favorite investigadores ever!!  So we are super excited to see what happens this week.  Me and my comp are working as hard as ever. We have a lot of progressing people with dates and I think will have 2 more on the 7th of May which is super cool!  We have a lot of fun teaching and hanging out by the beach...ITS THE BEST!!  The mission just keeps getting better and better, filled with awesome people who are changing my life for the better!!

Well I have this quote from president Hintze i liked it a lot!!

Nephi "Nefi" is not a former NFL quarterback, NBA all-star, or Major League Baseball player.  He never broke a record on the playing field or scored a game winning goal or touch down.  However, he suffered afflictions and taunts from his older brothers for being obedient to Heavenly Father, his parents and always trying to do what was right.  He was never named the Most Valuable Player or elected to a Hall of Fame. But in his life time he successfully helped his family cross a wilderness, persuaded a righteous family to leave their home and travel with them, negotiate the trade of a cultures history on brass plates, build a ship, travel to a promised land, and lead his descendants to a righteous life.

I really like this quote by Nephi. “I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.” (1 Nephi 3:7)

This message is to help you know that you have to work hard each day and try to improve to be ready for any opportunity on your mission!  The Lord does not expect much, he expects everything! The Lord is always your companion along with your assigned companion.  Have no fear and run towards your investigators to share the gospel!

“And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand the things which I should do.”(1 Nephi 4:6)

Focus on today and don´t worry about yesterday or last week!  Focus on developing your goals for this week and in your prayers by following the influence of the spirit and you will receive specific blessings!

PS: we went bowling last p-day here are the pics for that!  Also, me and my zone leader Elder D. tied at 95...I was pissed!! jajaja

April 18th - LORD'S OF DOGTOWN!

Hai!! What up ya´ll?  I survived another week in the mission!! How's everyone doing?  This week was super cool and full of some cool stories...one of the stories is that...last Monday we called the girl that was gonna have her baby how she was doing...the mom answered the phone and said, "Elders, great news, after the blessing...the baby was born completely fine and without problems...she was born fast and healthy...her name is Ashley!! WOW that was amazing...the baby was promised to be healthy just like it said in the blessing of my companion...the family was so grateful for our blessing...THE PRIESTHOOD IS REAL!!

Also I went on interchanges with Elder McFarland in my district... I did a baptismal interview and she passed...she should get baptized this upcoming Sunday!  Also this week we found out that one of our investigadores E and K ... they are a couple that are not married and live together...so we were teaching them that if you get baptized and married within the laws of God they would be soo blessed. The cool thing is that they accepted it and no longer live together...they both we get baptized on the 30 of this month! We had them and like 3 other investigadores come to church...we had 5 investigadores come to church yesterday...that was super cool!! The most I've ever had in the mission!!  And the other cool thing is that they all have a date for baptism this 30 of April or the 7 of may...kinda cool...I'm excited to see what happens!!!

April 11th - HAI

What up from Puerto la Libertad? This week was good and bad at the same time!! So last p-day I went to the volcano of San Salvador and that was super fun!! Today for p-day we are gonna play soccer with another zone...so I should be seeing some familiar faces from the MTC!!

But this week was super fun...I went on interchanges with my zone leader Elder R. and that was super fun. We almost convinced a man who already had like 10 attendances to church be baptized that day...he definitely thought about it for a good 10 seconds...and then said, "No, better off this Sunday!"  Elder R. baptized him last Sunday and that was pretty cool!!

I also went on interchanges with Elder Sweat on Friday to do a baptismal interview and she passed and will get baptized this upcoming Sunday! But here comes the bad news....our baptism didn't go through on Saturday...the day of her baptism, the investigator said she wasn't sure...Elder Chinchilla and I did all we could to convince her that all would be well and she would be blessed so much!! But she didn't want to...so we pushed it back another week...but I'm not giving up on her. I know for a fact she will get baptized soon!

Also this Sunday was super cool...kinda crazy but cool!! When we arrived with our investigadores in the sacrament meeting they called us from the pulpit to share a spiritual message with the whole congregation, hahaha! We were like, "OK, SURE!!" I talked about if we pray for things specifically we would receive specific answers and blessings to our prayers...and Elder C. talked about our purpose here on earth!! Then right after we got a call from a less active member....saying, "Elders come quickly my daughter is pregnant and her water broke 2 months early...come give her a blessing!!" WE DID!! Elder C. did it and it was so powerful...he blessed her that her baby would be healthy and well and they would soon feel the hand of God!! WOW!! He really is a sick comp...he is 24 and is hilarious...but he works super hard...we HAVE A LOT OF FUN!!

Well I love you guys with all my heart and have a great week and always choose to be happy!!

April 4th - ONE HIT WONDER

HAI!!! WHAT THE HECK IS UP!! Okay, so me and Elder A. were doing some service on Tuesday night...we get a call from Elder T and he said, "Elder Gee, pack your bags your going to be a DL in Puerto with Elder C."  I was like, "WHAT?", because I thought for sure I was gonna be in Jardin for one more change...but President took me out I guess??  Elder A. and I shared some sorrow because I didnt want to change comps and neither did he.  I told him as long as we work hard and have the spirit good things will happen...also I told him I would sit by him in Multizonas and he started to laugh...so were all good!!

I'm outta Cuscatlan and now I'm on the sandy beaches of Santa Techla...my area is called Puerto and its hotter than balls hahaha. I got a new comp too his name is Elder C. and he's 24 from the capital of Guatemalla and super cool. He was comps with Elder A., (my trainer) in the MTC so he's got the same time as him. But he's super cool guy. When he met me for the first time...he gave me a huge hug and was excited...so that pretty much sums up our companionship hahaha!! We talk about a lot of things...we have 6 baptismal dates and are gonna baptise a little girl next sunday...so we have a lot of fun. WE LIVE THE HANGLOOSE LIFE!!But its a super cool area...its like a beachtown...kinda reminds me of Salulita (that little town we visit by Puerto Vallarta) So like everyday we take 5 minutes to watch the waves because they are soo big. The locals said, Paul Walker stayed here for like a week and showed me his apartment...our area is super touristic. AND THE COKE TASTES SWEETER HAHA!! But other then the fact that my area is super cool...the work is super good...in one week Elder C. and I have 3 dates and 3 others that he had with an other elder.  We are looking forward to baptising a little girl named M. and she's 15 and came to conference with us and LOVED IT. So we look forward to this weekend. Our zone is super cool...and we work super hard...WORK HORSES. The work is so much fun here...me and Elder C teach well together...I think that's why we have some dates for baptism. He makes it soo much fun.

Ok, so conference was super cool...I watched it in English...I watched priesthood YEAH!! I really liked what Christofferson said about fathers and how cool dad is!! I watched with Elder S and Elder M (from Utah)  The
members are awesome...they don't like to work a whole lot but are nice when we visit them.

But I love you guys and pray for you always...I know the Lord blesses us always...and if we live the gospel things will always work out....like Elder holland says in conference...dont let the advesary....get you down.

Love you guys
