June 27th - I LOVE BELIZE!!!

YO FAM,

Alright, so this email is gonna be super crazy.  I have a lot to talk about in a short amount of time. I'm sure a couple of you know already but  ...I'M IN BELIZE CITY!!  That is my area and Elder J is my companion and he's from Arizona.  We work incredibly hard every day and have a lot of fun and Elder Hallman and Elder Cope are in my house too. ITS SO FUN!  But I'm not gonna lie the first couple of days were pretty hard because we went from teaching in Spanish to teaching in ENGLISH. Apparently my area is 90 percent black people that have creole accents....its super sick.  I love the people here, they are so funny...me and Elder J run into so many funny people with funny stories. So many times I'll be teaching in English and the words don't escape my mouth as well as they used to.  I got so used to teaching in Spanish. But its super fun...and a couple days later I got more and more used to it.

But I had to say goodbye to a lot of cool people that I met in Puerto. Puerto was definitely one of my favorite areas so far....I remember saying goodbyes to some of my converts and members and they all cried...and I'm not gonna lie I  shed a lot of tears too! I especially remember saying goodbye to E...and he just said that, "I know its not goodbye and I know I'm gonna see you again Elder Gee . You have changed my life forever and you have blessed my family."  As I walked away from that and got home I walked into the bathroom and wept like a baby.  I can't believe I meant that much to him...and I never imagined it would be so hard.  But I got through it with the excitement of seeing some familiar faces from my group already in Belize.

I love you guys so much.  The Lord blesses me more and more every change. I'm so glad I'm here preaching the gospel in English, even though sometimes I say it in Spanish words...hahaha!  The atonement is so real....its not just something that our parents and ward leaders say in church because its sounds true.  It is true.  I've see it happen in so many peoples lives....and its happening more and more in my life.  If sometimes we just stop and think about what HE REALLY DID FOR US.  Then we would stop sinning and start doing what he would have us do.  I know we are not perfect...but the church is.  That's why we go every week. There is so many blessings in store for all of us.  I know if I just keep working and having the right attitude then more opportunities and blessings will come...so its just a matter of seeing them and seizing my chances.

June 6th - PURO MILAGROS

Yo fam,

Hey everybody whats up?? Another week down....dang they go by so fast. But how are things going?? Things up here are pretty crazy. A lot of crazy things happend this week. Also we been seeing some amazing miracles happening throughout the whole mission. Well I have a ton to talk about so I'm gonna go right into it.

Alright so Wednesday me and my comp Elder C. went up to a meeting for all the district leaders up in San Salvador...that's where President Hintze broke us the news that we weren't gonna be comps anymore...President Hinzte wanted my comp to be a trainer and a DL in Cuscatlan.  My comp was so shocked.  He told president Hintze he didn't want to leave...and thats when President Hintze told him, ¨Elder, I didn't call you there, the Lord did...and you will do great.  He was super nervous and scared and thats when my comp began to cry a little bit.  He did not want to leave the area...he loves it.  So we hurried back and packed all of his things.  We said goodbye to all the people.  I've never seen my comp cry this hard until we said goodbye to Mama Tuley, our cook.  It was pretty sad...I felt pretty bad but I know that he has to go sometime and grow from other areas and comps.  He's a good guy and he will be missed.  I have a new Companion...his name is Elder C, and he's from Honduras and is super cool and funny too!  We have a lot of fun because he always says funny things and is super fun with the people we teach.  I'm so grateful for that.  Also an elder from my district Elder R went home for health problems....super sad keep him in your prayers that he can return.

As a zone we set a new goal for baptisms.  The goal is 30 for the month of June...that's never been done before in the history of the mission.  President Hinzte told us..if we can do it...he will all buy us a week trip to Cancun after the mission....WOW.  We need to get this goal hahaha.  But last Saturday we had the opportunity to baptize our investigadore, W.  It was a pure miracle how we baptized him...he told us the day before his baptism that he didn't want to be baptized this week but the next week.  But me and my comp Elder C. testified that he was ready for this week.  We told him, "Hey W., we have a baptismal service for you today in a hour...we feel that you are ready and the Lord will bless you in so many ways."  He said, "yes!!"  So we went up and BAPTIZED HIM. and I had the opportunity to baptize him...my first time since training with Arriola!!  It was a really cool baptism. We also confirmed him a member yesterday....love W!   He's growing so much and got a great testimony of Joseph Smith.  Its fun to listen to.

Also a funny story that happened yesterday,  after sacrament meeting a return missionary from the branch proposed to his girlfriend in church.  She said yes really awkwardly.  It was actually really weird...I've never in my life seen that before...hahaha!!  But I hope it turns out good.

Well I love you guys so much and know that miracles happen everyday...sometimes it just requires a little faith on our end.  I'm a firm believer that we can all accomplish great things.  But only those miracles are achieved if we keep HIS commandments.  There's no other way we can show our love towards our Savior when we keep the commandments.  WHY?, because we are ten times happier when we do!   I KNOW  that He wants to bless us...but how can He if we never ask Him....or keep His commandments.  I promise there are many blessings in store for all of us.  But those blessings are for the firm and faithful...I love you guys and hope you guys can see the miracles i n your lives....BECAUSE THERE ARE!!!
